Under Saddle Video (8/23/26)

Gaston was bred and raised at BTE Stables. We sold him as a yearling and continued to follow his career. He sold for $185,000 as a two year old and raced 11 times, winning twice. When he was racing at a level we weren’t comfortable with, the decision was made to claim him to retire. He returned to us sound and clean legged. He has basically just been hanging out on the farm since then, growing and gaining weight. He had his first brief post track ride on the farm in March and was great.

He just chilled in the field until August, when we shipped him to a local farm for his second ride. He handled shipping and the new environment like a pro. Under saddle he is very willing, balanced, and forward thinking. Not at all hot, but not behind the leg. He responds well to basic aids and isn’t offended when asked questions he doesn’t understand. Has a naturally beautifully balanced canter, was taken over poles on his third ride and didn’t bat an eye. Very game and willing, with the athleticism and talent to be a top performer in any discipline.

Though not huge, he has filled out well and takes up a lot of leg. He is well balanced and correct. To my knowledge, he has not had any surgeries or significant soundness concerns.

Resellers welcome, but preference to a longer term resale situation (like after the Makeover). He also comes with a $500 Makeover Scholarship.
